Omnigrid makes great rulers and cutting aids, and now they've come out with this nifty stuff that helps keep your ruler from sliding and slipping when you're rotary cutting.  InvisiGRIP is a clear plastic stuff with a light repositionable adhesive (technical term for sorta sticky stuff) that adheres to your rulers or templates. The other (fabric) side has a grippy surface that keeps the ruler from sliding around but doesn't leave any marks or residue on the fabric.  Neat!

Neat Tip! 

In her certified rotary cutting instructor class, Cindy learned another nifty trick using this material for cutting identical fussy-cuts every time.  (This tip is also documented in Eleanor Burns' Orion's Star book.) 

Put a piece of InvisiGRIP on the bottom of your fussy cut ruler to keep it from shifting while cutting.  Then put a second piece of Invisigrip on the top side of your ruler.  Place your fussy cut ruler over the fabric just where you want it, then use a permanent marker, like a Sharpie, to trace the outline of the design or feature you're centered on, onto the top piece of Invisigrip.  Now all you need to do is line up the outline you drew over the designs and you'll be sure each fussy cut is totally identical!  Neat!
