New Shakespeare’s Flowers is In!

For you lovers of poems and pansies (and other flowers too), this is a great new line from our friends at Fabric Freedom.  Who better to combine Shakespeare and flowers than the great London fabric house?

Shakespeare's Flowers

Shakespeare's Flowers

Shakespeare’s flowers is a lovely combination of florals and poems.   Shakespeare loved flowers, and worked floral references into his works often, using the symbolism of flowers to describe his ideas about people and places…

When daisies pied and violets blue,
And lady-smock all silver white,
And cuckoo-bud of yellow hue,
Do paint the meadows with delight…

Florals and blenders with Shakespeare quotations in mixable colors, what could be more fun?

We currently have 8 of these fabrics on our website, ranging from the 3 1/2 inch squares showcasing various flower settings, to large, medium and small prints in several colors that mix and match with the panels, as well as two blenders that are covered with Shakespeare’s longhand script.  We are still awaiting one more fabric, which is another pink primrose print with cream background.  Meanwhile, we’ve put the line on the website, and we’ll add the other one when it arrives, making 9 different fabrics.  We’ll have a kit up in two color choices real soon, making a 52 x 52 large lap quilt.

If you liked the Pansy line, you’re going to love this one too! Same great feel and sewability, hand-painted originals, and great engraving and printing.

Put a little culture in your life with this great new fabric line!    Click Here for a link to Shakespeare’ Flowers on our web store.
