Q: Do I have to register an account to buy from Quilt Kits Online? A: No. You can buy without registering. But if you do register, you'll get in on store specials and other offers in the future, and your shipping information will be saved so you won't have to enter it every time. You'll also be able to view your previous orders and the status of your current order.
Q: Does Quilt Kits Online keep my credit card information in its files? A: No! We never keep any credit card information in our files, it's all kept by our credit card processing company. And as soon as we ship your product and charge your credit card, your information there is deleted. This applies whether or not you register an account.
Q: How do I know my financial information is safe with QKO? A: Our website store was constructed and is operated using the latest anti-hacker and security methods. Our credit card processing company is among the most secure in the world.
Q: What if I receive one of your kits and I just don't like it? A: If you return it, we'll give you a refund. See our Store Policies page for more information.
Q: Does QKO sell or exchange my customer information with anyone? A: Absolutely Not! See our Privacy Policy for more details.
Q: Why did you two decide to start this business at your age? A: With a mad quilting habit, we found that we were chasing all over the place trying to find the right fabrics for Cindy's projects. And when she got a kit, she found that often they were unsatisfactory, containing incomplete or confusing instructions, not enough or low quality fabrics, etc. A lot of the kits were packaged quite attractively, but by the time you got them the fabrics were soiled or the patterns torn or crumpled. We thought we could do it better, by offering top quality fabrics in weatherproof and handling-proof packaging, with complete and understandable instructions. We also knew that we could offer better customer service than we were getting from most places.
Q: What is Cindy's "Bakers Dozen?" A: Cindy, a baker's daughter, has gotten burned several times at fabric shops by bad or short cuts. Don't you just hate it when you the fabric isn't cut straight, so that "yard" turns out to be 36 inches at one end and 32 inches at the other? And all of a sudden, you're caught short. So we always give you an inch or two over what the pattern calls for, and we make sure it's cut straight or we re-cut it. We don't want you to get caught short in the middle of your project!
Q: Where is your store located? A: We're an all online operation, we don't have a quilt shop or any store. Our total attention is focused on producing quality kits, selling quality fabrics and supplies, and delivering them direct to you.
Q: What if I have a question about one of the projects I purchased from QKO? A: Just drop us a note at service@quilt-kits-online.com. We promise you we'll respond quickly. Please include your phone number in case we can't understand the issue, or we need to talk to you to adequately resolve it.
Q: Can you create a custom kit just for me? A: Unfortunately, we're not staffed to do this. But do read the next answer.
Q: Do you customize your listed kits? A: Under some circumstances we can modify our kits to meet your needs. We can't change the patterns, or design quilts on an individual basis, but we can often substitute one fabric for another, or one set of fabrics into a different pattern or design. If you see a pattern you like and we don't have a kit for it, or you see a pattern and you'd like it in another kit's fabrics, just ask! We may be able to accomodate you. Many things are possible.
Q: Do you work with independent designers, like me? A: Yes! We're always looking for fresh new designs to build kits around. Email us for details.
Q: Where's the blankety-blank Bunny? A: The bunny moves around, but we always put a clue as to his whereabouts in our Notebook. You can find a link to our Notebook on the left menu of any page in our webstore, and once you get to the Notebook, look on the right menu for a permanent page called "Where's the Bunny"?
