About the Owners
Quilt Kits Online is a family business, owned and operated by Cindy and Don F. We live and work in a lovely valley in western Nevada, not far from Lake Tahoe and the California border, with great views of the Sierra Nevada mountains.
Cindy has a professional background in logistics and auditing. She's been quilting for many years, creating a lot of great projects for friends, family and our home.
Don has a background in data processing and software design, and has been doing a bit of light website development for several years.
We have both had extensive customer service experience, so we know that this is the most important aspect of operating a successful business. We both learned at very young ages how to please customers; give good value and provide prompt friendly service.
We both enjoy riding horses and motorcycles, so we have a couple of each hanging around the house.
And then, there are our "girls," our two rat terriers Princess and Sassy, who are sisters out of different litters a year apart in age. Our dogs are, of course, the best dogs in the entire world.
Cindy's favorite hobby, after her horses, is quilting.
She's made many beautiful projects over the years. Here's a picture of one of her latest, a fantastic Delectible Mountains quilt, taken from the Eleanor Burns book of the same title.

- We check and test all our patterns and supply extra instructions whenever needed to make them easier to follow. We want your project to be successful.
- We use only the best, highest-quality fabrics from top manufacturers.
- We shop for our own fabrics (woo-hoo, shopping!) We look at and feel each one before buying. Our fabrics are hand-selected and coordinated for the projects we offer.
- We offer various sizes of kits for selected projects.
- We offer complete kits as well as top-only projects. You decide how much and what your kit contains.
- We can customize many kits, changing the fabrics around, or use other available fabrics. Just ask and we'll try to accomodate your needs.
- We offer the kits with or without patterns, in case you already have it, or are building mutliples of the same pattern.
- We offer kits for all levels of experience, beginners up to seasoned "pros."
- Cindy, a baker's daughter, believes in the "bakers dozen" so we always give you generous cuts, to make sure you don't run short.
- All our cuts are double-checked to make sure they're straight and accurate. You don't want to get caught short because of a sloppy curved cut!
- We include a fabric cross-reference in all our kits, with pictures, to make sure there's no confusion as to what's what and what goes where.
- We offer special discounts on volume orders for schools, clubs, quilt classes, etc. Talk to us about project kits customized for your organization to use or sell for fundraisers.
